I haven't really seen much on Threads beyond pet and wildlife posts and "threads lore" stories until running across some Kpop drama this week. Usually that has been confined to Twitter for me.
I left BookThreads because it is in fact so mean. It was great when it started, in like 2023, but since then it’s the sort of place where one feels anxious about posting anything at all! It’s like the new X, almost. Worse than IG. I wonder if the algorithm promotes meanness for engagement?

Yeah maybe I’ve just been siloed in uniquely nice spaces on there???
I have a love-hate with Threads. It’s more toxic than other Meta apps, IMHO.
That is so interesting to me, I always thought they were all kinda at the same (bad) level lol
I think for me, it's all about the text. It's easier for me to scroll past toxic reels, stories and posts than it is if it's something I can read.
